Ancient painting from Northern Europe (Germany) from the late 18th, early 19th century. Oil on oak panel depicting the Hermit of good pictorial quality. Wood and plaster frame, not contemporary, sculpted and gilded from the 19th century. Small size painting, for antique dealers and collectors, in beautiful patina. Good brightness panel, pleasant details inserted by the painter (see photo). In the frame, as a support element for the panel, there is a card with the writing Dietrich perhaps in reference to the German painter Christian Wilhelm Ernst Dietrich (1712-1774), currently under study, lacking additional documentation. Work that presents some small drops of color, in a beautiful patina and structurally sound, overall in a reasonable state of conservation. Painting light H 33 x W 31 cm.
