Chair set made in the 1970s by Giotto Stoppino (Milan, 1926). Chrome-plated tubular steel frame and black artificial leather, made in Italy. In perfect state of chrome-plating, seats and backs completely reupholstered. Giotto Stoppino, born in Milan in 1926, completed his architectural studies in Venice and then in Milan, where he graduated in 1951. From 1953 to 1968, he worked for the 'Architetti Associati' studio founded by Vittorio Gregotti and Lodovico Meneghetti and at the same time, he joined ADI, an association dedicated to industrial design (of which he was also president from 1982 to 1984). In the late 1960s, Stoppino founded his own architecture and design studio. A talented designer, he received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro award in 1979 for the Sheraton sideboard.
