Freccia coffee table by Angelo Mangiarotti for Skipper, 1970s

The arrow table, designed by Angelo Mangiarotti in the 70s for Skipper, is a distinctive piece of the Eros series, known for the innovative use of the dry bowel without the help of fixing elements. Design and materials: the table has a white carrara marble top and Marquinia black marble legs. The assembly takes place through conical interlocking that exploit the weight of the marble to ensure stability, eliminating the need for adhesives or mechanical joints. Dimensions: the typical measures of the arrow model include a height of about 40 cm and a 120 x 120 cm floor. Conditions: patina due to age and use. The plan has some stains. It is possible to polish the marble to remove them. This table represents Mangiarotti's approach to functional and aesthetic design, where the purity of materials and the precision of the interlocking create a sculptural and practical work. The combined use of the white marble of Carrara and Nero Marquinia offers an elegant visual contrast, making the arrow a distinctive element in any environment.
