Item description

A magnificent two-tier tea table is made in the Louis XVI style and is attributed to the model of the famous French furniture maker Francois Lincke. The table is made of mahogany and decorated with elegant decorative elements of gilded bronze. The lower tier of the table is decorated with a bronze composition on the theme of art with the image of putti, symbolizing joy and creativity. The corners of the table are decorated with exquisite bronze curls of foliage, which elegantly intertwine conical legs connected by curved stands decorated with a bronze basket in the center, giving airiness and harmony to the design. The upper tier has the shape of a tray with a removable glass surface, framed by a refined bronze frame. It is supported by four bronze putti sculptures, adding sophistication and emphasizing the luxury of the object. This table is an example of the high level of craftsmanship and style characteristic of the late 19th century. Mahogany, gilded bronze, glass. Dimensions: height 104 cm, width 78 cm, depth 51 cm. Provenance: from the Michaelles collection, Hamburg, collected over several generations
