Made in Italy, 1950s. This is a very rare and exceptional labeled Arredoluce lampit that does not appear in any catalog and therefore should be considered an experimental piece. In these years Sottsass worked for Arredoluce and in addition to the known pieces that went into production, he created several prototypes that did not. Checking the ceramic pieces made in the same period for the Bitossi company, it is undeniable that style of the hat is identical to some ceramic bowls he designed. In addition to this, there is the red plexiglass cone and the two black and brass rods that support the lamp, which are stylistic and chromatic elements that make us think that this piece could have been made based on a design by Sottsass. This is our personal opinion but we support it with bibliographical documents. The lamp is vintage, therefore it shows signs of wear, as shown in the photos, but it works and has no breakages.
