Description: This important painting of the eighteenth century is to be reported to the exquisite production of the Neapolitan school of the first half of the eighteenth century.
The splendid workmanship and the refined color, evidently of the highest level, suggest the attribution to an author of great talent operating in Naples in the first half of the eighteenth century.
The scene takes place in the foreground, where you can see a woman with an uncovered breast irradiated by the scorching sun and surrounded by seasonal fruits and with her head surrounded by a wreath of grain ears, intent on grain reaps.
The character is well modeled, the brush stroke is full -bodied and the use of chiaroscuro creates volume and plasticity. The light illuminates the young woman creating areas of chiaroscuro between the pannages of the garment, on which the use of the white color is also evident, superimposed on the colors below, to give greater emphasis to the figure.
On his left a child with a joyful face carries a bouquet of ears on his shoulders.
