Piedmontese Charles X dresser inlaid in maple on walnut with panelled reserves, original early 19th century

Beautiful Piedmontese chest of drawers in the style and era of Charles X, early 19th century, of beautiful dimensions, in solid walnut, rich in maple inlays, with particular designs on the top (which in Piedmont was normally less inlaid than on the facade). Both on the top and on the three large drawers on the façade the inlays are closed by fillets that form "reserves" veneered with darker walnut. Maple profiles surround the upper and lower part, where there is also an oblique light/dark wood creasing. The same type of creasing, smaller, surrounds the 3 large drawers, while the smaller one has a classic Charles X flare. The sides and top are in a single piece of walnut. The dresser is in a beautiful blond walnut and has been recently restored and then never used.
