Art Deco sculpture of two fish in craquelé porcelain, 30s

Nice and pleasant porcelain sculpture representing two fishes swimming together. With the extension of the caudal fin of the fish in the foreground has been obtained a solid base that supports stably the whole sculpture. The sculpture was obtained using the very old technique of lost wax. The object was also customized using the old craquelé technique on the porcelain. The product was produced between 1930 and 1935 in France in a small workshop in the Marais area, one of the richest neighborhoods in Paris, where the stores of artists and craftsmen were the soul of the neighborhood itself.
