In the early 1950s Gianfranco Frattini designed the 500 series for Bernini, of which this desk is part. It is a series conceived for prestigious offices, produced in various types of wood, including rosewood, and with desks of various sizes, from the presidential desk to those for the headquarters of the banks to which this desk belongs. It has three open compartments under the top and a beautiful base that reproduces the stylistic features of Tuscan fratina tables in a modern, stylised key. The vintage condition is very good and a conservative restoration has been carried out.
