Item description
Particular and original pair of wall lamps, made in Louis XVI style between 1920 and 1923 in a foundry near Villedieu-les-Poeles (France). The wall sconces have two points of light each with fake candles placed at the end of two arms, the wires are not visible because they all pass on the back, where there is also the hook to hang them on the wall (see photo). The two sconces were made of bronze with a masterful and elaborate earthenware fusion with rocailles motifs, leaves, and flowers in a classic Louis XVI style. The next step was to intervene skilled craftsmen to chisel them by hand in an accurate and meticulous way in order to bring out even the smallest details (see sample photo), were then gilded with a galvanic bath gilding of the highest quality that made the bronze take on the warm color of gold, over time has formed an original patina making these objects even more precious and aesthetically engaging. Their extreme classicism and their romantic line, make them extremely versatile and easily placed in any environment. The electrical system is working but the wiring is European, the compatibility of the voltage in other states must always be verified by an electrician before use.
