Item description

Neoclassical mirror made in the Lombard area in the last quarter of the 18th century. Carved and partially lacquered and gilded wooden structure. Medallion-shaped cymatium with woven ribbon placed on top and floral festoons. In the upper part, decorative "cancorrente" motif enriched with gilded leaf elements, traceable to the iconographic repertoire of Giocondo Albertolli (1742-1839), Swiss-Italian architect, decorator and teacher. Mercury mirror.
