Oil painting on canvas depicting the Rape of Europa, made in Spain in the second half of the 17th century. The myth recounts that Zeus, falling in love with Europa, transforms himself into a beautiful white bull in order to approach her; the princess, once on the animal's back, is abducted and taken to the island of Crete. The painting has been recently restretched and undergone conservation restoration and color restoration in some small places. It has a small tear in the upper left corner, easily restorable. Missing frame.
