Item description
Bar cabinet designed by the well-known designer Guglielmo Ulrich and produced by Arredamenti Casa between the 1940s and 1950s, a very rare piece. In excellent condition, original Ar.Ca. label. In 1930 Guglielmo Ulrich founded the company Ar.Ca (Arredamento Casa), for which he designed furniture. His furniture is characterised by great attention to construction and attention to detail in the materials, while the production is always of a high handcrafted standard. The use of precious woods is particular. Ulrich designs, produces and sells his furniture. In the early days of Italian industrial production, Ulrich chose to create furniture and objects in unique pieces for an elite clientele: high quality craftsmanship guarantees tradition, while the design is modern and eclectic. All perfectly in line with the tastes of the Milanese upper middle class, who were looking for a modern answer to their needs for representation. In these years Ulrich thus became the trusted architect of the Milanese upper and middle classes: his clients included names such as Mondadori, Agnelli, Visconti, Gavazzi and Dubini. Wealthy families chose him both for an affinity of taste and personal acquaintance.
