Item description
Mirror and steel vanity tray with handles. The top is a rectangular mirror with slightly rounded long sides; on the short sides there are the handles, made up of two pieces of corrugated steel sheet joined by a transparent glass cylinder. The delicate floral decorations were made by grinding the mirror from the bottom with stone wheels. Below the mirror is a wooden layer covered with a red cloth. There are four feet on the top. The tray was masterfully executed between 1950 and 1955 in an artisan workshop in the Nancy district in France, famous for the high concentration of factories and craftsmen specialized in crystal processing (Daum, Baccarat, Saint Louis, etc.). This tray represents an expression of the mastery and dexterity of the glass masters who created it; a unique and refined work of art characterized by a complex craftsmanship. (For all our shipments we use special packaging materials such as wooden cases, polystyrene, etc. for maximum protection and safety of the objects)
