Item description
Walnut coat rack by Poltronova, 1960s. Rectangular in shape and fitted with six hooks; these are removable and can be moved on the structure as desired. Important designers work at Poltronova: not only Ettore Sottsass, who is its artistic director, but also Gae Aulenti, Paolo Portoghesi, Giovanni Michelucci, Angelo Mangiarotti, the Archizoom and Superstudio groups, De Pas-D'Urbino-Lomazzi, etc. From the beginning, Sergio Cammilli, the company's founder, adopts a different and experimental method than figures like Dino Gavina, picking up the polycentric soul of Italian design and its contradictions and opposing trends. He is convinced that this complexity is the very source of the unity and vitality of this extraordinary phenomenon.
