Pair of Louis XIV parade chairs made in the 18th century in Lombardy.
They have a high backrest, are padded and covered with pink velvet with an elegant decorative element in chromatically matched trimming. The wooden legs, in elongated spool shapes, have a fine pattern of vines and small round flowers on all four sides.
The most distinctive element is the central connecting crosspiece, resting on the two side ones, skillfully carved to form a kind of semi-shield with curls and rich decoration.
