Set of six Touch Glass whiskey glasses by Angelo Mangiarotti for Cristalleria Colle, 1990s (1991).
The Touch Glass series of glasses was designed by Mangiarotti for Cristalleria Colle, now known as Collevilca. The glasses were designed with the intention of making the act of holding them in one's hands pleasurable.
In their appearance you can sense Mangiarotti's mastery in governing the design; even the most complex shapes in his hands do not lose the coherence of the idea or bend to the rigidity of the design.
Also available from the same series are six vodka glasses, six liqueur glasses and six cognac glasses (the various models can be seen in one of the photos); for more information contact the seller directly.
Four of the glasses are vintage (made by Cristalleria Colle), while two are newly made (Collevilca); differences are visible both in the overall photo and in the two models compared. The thickness of the crystal in the new glasses is greater.
The glasses are in excellent condition and complete with original box.
