“The Great-Eastern Liverpool 1811” relaxing armchair with dark mahogany wood structure, seat and armrests in antiqued red leather, Chesterfield-type tufted mattress topstitching. The structure is made up of two semicircular radial side elements in the shape of half a rudder wheel, with five turned columns and five knobs, at the top of each of the two rest the two shaped armrests, padded and finished with burnished nailing. The sturdy padded seat mattress is connected to the structure only by fixing it to two crossbars at the top and bottom, otherwise it is completely free, as in the classic deckchair. Back lining in red velvet. The armchair is in a good general state of conservation, the leather of the mattress and armrests is intact, like the velvet on the back. Slight surface scratches on the wooden structure; 12 buttons are missing on the seat pad; the fastening laces of the top cushion are missing; seam in the back between leather and velvet.
