Item description
Sideboard with bar compartment by La Permanente Mobili Cantù, 1950s. Its uniqueness lies in its extraordinary sculptural form. Teak wood structure with hanging marble shelves. Equipped with five doors and six drawers. Three doors are finished with superb slatted details also known as "grissinatura" with wonderful brass handles unique in their shape. Two smaller central doors have two white plaques with brass frames that can be freely decorated or painted. The inner compartments are finished in maple and have shelves. There is plenty of storage space between the doors and drawers. The two central doors conceal an elegant bar compartment equipped with glass shelves, mirrors at the sides, two small drawers finished at the top with scarlet red glass that glows when the inner light turns on automatically when the doors are opened. This sideboard is in excellent condition, showing no structural damage and/or previous restoration; all exterior wood surfaces have been shellac polished.
