The Desco table was created by the great architect and designer Achille Castiglioni for Zanotta, a pioneer of Italian design furniture company in the 50s.
Designed in 1971 together with Marcello Minale for the Wimpy restaurant in Rome.
It entered the Zanotta production line for a few years and few examples were produced, which is why Desco is a rather rare table.
Made with high quality materials, it consists of a tripod in U-bent stainless steel tubes, connected in two points by polygonal spacers; on this base rests a two-tone disc, with a dark laminate edge.
Under the base there is the Zanotta brand with the designer's signature.
The table is in fair condition, it shows signs of wear and patina on the plastic part where there are also two breaks in the edge; the central steel part has a small stamp and scratches.
However, these defects do not affect its overall beauty.
