Item description
Grip floor lamp by Achille Castiglioni for Flos, 1980s (designed in 1985). It is a special floor light fixture, ideal for reading. From a painted steel base, a rod rises slightly tilted in the air and ends with a kind of protruding gimbal joint. This two-tone "gyroscope" connects, on its own axis, two strongly characterized elements and allows the orientation of the light source according to individual reading needs. Below, a "microphone" houses the bulb, shielded and focused to provide adequate light. Diametrically opposite, a "knob" (formed by a plastic-coated tube) ends with a rotary snap switch, which is offered as an object to be held with one hand, to orient, naturally, the light beam in the most appropriate way. In good condition with some scratches on the base. E14 bulb socket (bulb provided in the sale).
