Wood Ansonia pendulum clock made in England in the first half of the 20th century. Dial and movement made by the Ansonia Clock Company. Watch in perfect working order, just serviced. Charging key included. Hardwood construction with a large dome-shaped cap and arched pediment. Large empty gable under the pediment with the calendar dial located at the bottom of the roof. Below the dial is a large horizontal bezel that overlooks the case. Rectangular door with astragalus glass from which the arc of the pendulum can be observed. Round white dial with black enamel Roman hour chapter ring, closed bar minute track, Arabic calendar markers 1-31, steel hands. Special compartment of two wooden plates to contain the movement of fenestrated brass plates. Brass open frame rectilinear movement with pillars connecting the front and back plates. The escape wheel would be on the front plate, with a flywheel and possible wheel counter to strike the hours. Everything is powered by two steel springs which guarantee a duration of seven days. Relative numbers of hour chimes and single chime every half hour.
