Item description
Atollo table lamp by Vico Magistretti for Oluce, original first edition 1977. Winner of the prestigious Compasso d'Oro in 1979, an award for innovative design and ideas. Magistretti is one of Italy's greatest architects and designers, winner of countless awards and medals including the Compasso d'Oro for lifetime achievement in 1995. His most famous works in design include the Eclisse lamp for Artemide, the Maralunga armchair for Cassina, the Selene chair for Artemide, the Vidun table for De Padova, and many other objects that revolutionized the concept of design. Atollo made design history: thanks to the fusion of two different geometric shapes, Magistretti gave us a lamp that does not go unnoticed. It consists of the pencil-shaped base, that is, a cylinder with a cone superimposed on it, and the perfect hemisphere-shaped cap. Made of lacquered metal, in this case white. The hemisphere reflects light downward. This lamp will give elegance and sophistication to your environments as it can be combined with a variety of different styles. A sign of its greatness is its presence in the Quirinal Palace collection of artworks. Specifically this one proposed here is a first edition, it is in working order and in excellent state of preservation. It presents as pictured still with the original label.
