PK11 chair designed in 1957 by Poul Kjaerholm and manufactured by E. Kold Christensen. With manufacturer's mark. Oak backrest and linear three-leg structure in chromed steel. Eight chairs available (price per piece). There are some stains on the upholstery. Seat height: 43.5 cm. Poul Kjærholm was a Danish designer. Born in Østervrå, Denmark, Kjærholm began his career as an apprentice cabinetmaker at Gronbech in 1948, attending the Danish School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen in 1952. Beginning in the mid-1950s, he worked for his friend Ejvind Kold Christiansen, for whom he made a wide range of his furniture. In 1963 he designed the PK_54 table. In 1958 he won international recognition for his contributions to the Formes Scandinaves exhibition in Paris and for the legendary Lunning Award. In 1957 and 1960 he won the Grand Prize at the Milan Triennale.
