Flat-weave Kilim rug by Swedish textile designer Anna Johanna Ångström, featuring geometric designs in shades of brown, 1960s. Signed. Born in 1938, Ångström is recognized for her exquisite use of composition and line in her designs. She has worked for Axeco AB Carpet Manufactory. She draws inspiration for her designs from floral and botanical motifs of the 18th century and 19th century. Her aesthetic is a fusion of traditional Scandinavian details, traditional motifs and modern influences. Ångström continues to design commissioned textiles at his company in Stockholm.
