Item description
Description: Elegant Neapolitan mirror of the first half of the 18th century entirely carved, carved and gilded with gold leaf. Made in Naples in the mid-18th century, with original mercury glass and a richly carved and gilded wooden frame. The cimasa, very slender towards the top, lightens the richness of the ornaments, making the whole graceful and well-balanced. On the underside, the mirror rests on feet that are also richly carved and decorated with floral motifs. The volutes and the movement of the elaborate architecture of this mirror cabinet make it a particularly valuable object, distinguished by a beautiful carving of racemes and flowers, typical of the period. Provenance: Naples (1740/50). General condition: Very good condition. Measures: 75x160cm. Document: Certificate of Authenticity.
