Pair of black Ingram chairs by Charles Rennie Mackintosh for Cassina, 1980-81. Four 306 Ingram chairs available, sold in pairs. Beautiful and rare pair of chairs model 306 Ingram in black open-pore stained ash wood. In excellent condition, given their age: they are 43 years old. Very well kept, minimal marks from normal use. Small marks in the corner parts of the wood and small specks on the seat. Otherwise they are ok and beautiful. Upholstery in soft blue fabric with embossed black squares in quadris frame geometry. For collectors and connoisseurs. The Ingram chair received attention in the production programme of the Cassina I Maestri collection, and was produced from 1979 to 1989. Today the new price of a 306 would be 3200 euros A set of Arts & Crafts chairs by the great Scottish master Charles Rennie Mackintosh (painter, designer and architect), who died prematurely at the age of 60 in 1928. Among the furnishings of his interior decorations, the Ingram chair received attention in the production programme of the "Cassina I Maestri" collection, and the series was produced from 1979 to 1989. Height 106 cm, seat 45 cm. Charles Rennie Mackintosh was born in Glasgow in 1868 and died in London on 10 December 1928.
