The elegant two-bay wall unit with desk and light shelf by Poul Cadovius, designed for Cado in the 1960s, is an excellent alternative to a traditional desk and ideal for a home office space. It can be placed in a bedroom or living room, saving space and providing a remote work area. The piece is a fine example of mid-century Danish joinery and is considered to be of the highest quality. This beautiful modular wall unit consists of six elegant shelves engraved with 'made in Denmark', a desk with a portable lamp, a hutch and an elegant cabinet. It is made of walnut wood with black metal fittings and solid wood rails. The wall cabinet consists of: a desk shelf 9 cm high/ 80 cm long/ 40 cm deep with 2x drawers 5 cm inside height; a cabinet with glass doors and inside glass shelf 33/80/24 cm; a cabinet H: 51/ W: 80/D: 40 cm; four 24 cm deep shelves; two 30 cm deep shelves; two 230 cm rails (approx. 10 cm from the floor)\1 198 cm rail (approx. 10 cm from the floor); black painted metal fittings; shelf lamp with 180 cm long wire and additional ON/OFF switch, requires 2xE14 bulb. Our team carefully checked the wall unit. All components fit together and all doors and drawers function properly. Occasionally, we sand the most used parts (if they are scratched). In this case, we only rejuvenate the wood with Danish oil and other professional compounds. All the interior has been checked and cleaned. We leave small, natural signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetics and only confirm originality. We restore it to its best appearance, considering that it is 60 years old.
