Item description
Precious glass flower vase with an original wavy shape. It was blown from the mass of molten glass coming out of the kiln, in one seamless piece, and then skillfully shaped into waves by skilled Glass Masters. When the vase was still hot, a craftsman, with dexterity and speed, adhered a piece of dark amber glass to the base of the vase and then pulled and stretched its ends along the walls of the object, creating an original and unique decoration. Once the desired shape was obtained, he did a quick annealing in the oven to uniformly mix all the material, then the piece was placed in the tempering oven where it cooled for many hours slowly and patiently to avoid tension in the glass. Then, completely free from heat, it was taken to the milling department where expert craftsmen proceeded with sanding, finishing and finally polishing. A work of art created with magical mastery and unparalleled skill by a great master craftsman in a magical, fascinating and artistic place: an artisanal Murano furnace. The vase has an adhesive label with the "Vetro Artistico Murano" trademark, a mark of origin that certifies the glass products made on the island of Murano, created to protect one of the most famous symbols of Made in Italy and guarantee the fruit of a thousand-year tradition. The Veneto Region, with this brand established and regulated by the Law of the Veneto Region n. 70 of 23 December 1994, guarantees consumers the security of having purchased a product made on the island of Murano, according to the traditional techniques of the Master Glassmakers of Murano. Only companies authorized with the "Vetro Artistico di Murano" brand can use and affix the stamp to any glass part of the object, unequivocally certifying its origin. The brand represents a typical work tool, the "borsella", used to create a glass dish. The brand can be red or blue depending on the type of manufacturing of the product purchased. The "borsella" and the words "Vetro Artistico® Murano" are printed in gold leaf. The seal is anti-counterfeiting, i.e. irremovable and non-reusable, under penalty of breaking the seal, and bears the identification code of the manufacturing company. The brand on our vase shows the number of the company that is part of the consortium and the no. 036 corresponds to the company "Artigianato Muranese", which created the vase between 1995 and 1998 in its Murano furnace. The company was founded in 1967, but only in the 1980s, with the help of young masters and entrepreneurs, did it develop, expanding the range of products, but leaving the ancient Murano manufacturing technique unchanged. All items are rigorously handmade by exceptional master glassmakers such as Sergio Costantini and Enrico Camozzo. The creation of this vase confirms that the Venetian attitude, celebrated over the centuries, to glass processing is an alchemical combination of liquid matter developed by artisan intelligence with happy artistic intuitions. The vase is in good condition.
