Opening table with extensions, called 'Slagboard' in Swedish (translated to 'battle table'). This model was produced in the 1950s and is made of varnished pine wood. Originating from Sweden, it is very much in use in Northern Europe to furnish both the most sober and the most sophisticated environments. A sturdy dining table that can be extended on both sides and comfortably seats 6 people. The reason for the widespread use of this type of furniture in Scandinavia was its great functionality and resistance: in fact, it could also fit into small rooms and could be opened if necessary. The solid wood used in the construction guarantees resistance for another two hundred years and you can try your hand, as is customary in the north, at painting the table in the shades you prefer. Good condition. A conservative restoration has been carried out. It may show some signs of time. Please pay attention to the photographs.
