Item description
Brionvega RR126 turntable radio by the Castiglioni brothers, 1960s. Designed in 1964 by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, two of the most famous designers of the Mid-Century Modern era, the Brionvega RR126 turntable is an iconic piece of Italian design and still today one of the most sought after elements for interior furnishings thanks to the its timeless look. Developed at the same time as the Beatles and the Beach Boys were experimenting with stereo recording, the RR126 reflected contemporary music's need for high-quality audio equipment capable of enhancing different levels of songs. Our piece, coming from the first owner's house in Milan, is functional and well preserved. There are signs of use but nothing detracts from the overall appearance of this iconic object. The perspex cover of the turntable has been lost over the years and is the only missing part of note.
