Amanta armchair by Mario Bellini for C&B. Iconic chair designed by the great designer Mario Bellini for C&B in the 1970s. The armchair has a dark plastic shell and the upholstery was reupholstered in the early 2000s. Underneath the shell is the brand name that places it in the 1970s being written C&B. C&B or Cassina & Busnelli was founded in 1966 by Cesare Cassina and Piero Ambrogio Busnelli with the idea of using the most innovative technologies to achieve a larger and less handcrafted production. In 1973 Busnelli took over the shares of Cassina and changed the company's name to B&B Italia. Over the years, the company has created great design icons such as the Up armchair by Gaetano Pesce, the Camaleonda sofa by Bellini, the Sity by Antonio Citterio and countless other works of art. The armchair is in excellent condition, it has no structural damage but only some slight signs of time as shown in the photo.
