Danish wall unit with secretaire or hidden desk, made of teak in the 1960s. It is closely related to the famous designs of Poul Cadovius and Preben Sorensen from the same period (the works of both designers feature a similar assembly system and joinery). This vintage teak wall cabinet features a functional flip-top cabinet with a practical laptop and document compartment and four shelves supported by brass hangers and mounted on solid wood rails. It can perfectly create a discreet work space in the living room or bedroom.
The unit consists of: secretariat with lockable flap doors. The key is included - H: 34 / W: 80 / D: 42 cm (fully open - 65 cm deep), two shelves - W: 80 / D: 20 cm, two shelves - W: 80 / D: 30 cm, two 198 cm, long wooden rails, brass fittings.
This shelving system is modular. Since all elements are 80 cm wide, they can be arranged as desired. The wall unit was checked by our team. We have verified that the door mechanism works properly and that all parts fit together. The set is in excellent vintage condition with slight traces of use. We have lightly restored the surface of the wood and applied an additional layer of Danish oil to nourish and enhance the wood grain. We leave small, natural signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetics and only confirm originality. We try to restore it to its best appearance, always considering that it is more than 60 years old.
