Item description

An elegant and functional chest of drawers by Kai Kristiansen with an arched front, produced in Denmark in the 1960s. This is a rare seven-drawer model, also known as a semainier, popular in 18th-century France (the name comes from the French word for week, semaine), which was intended to separate the copious personal linen of the time in supplies from Monday to Sunday. The dresser has a beautifully curved front with round solid teak handles and a base. It features a beautifully matching teak veneer. The top drawer closes with the original preserved key. The chest of drawers has been checked by our team. All drawers are clean and function smoothly. We have cleaned the wood meticulously and the surface has been refreshed with several coats of Danish oil. We left small signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetics and only confirm its originality. Our aim is to restore the furniture to its best condition, considering its age of 60 years. Height from floor: 17 cm, height of drawers: 9 cm. Excellent vintage condition with slight traces of use. Original key included.
