Item description

Gherpe table or floor lamp by Superstudio for Poltronova, 1960s-70s (1967). This animal-shaped lamp can take many forms thanks to its six curved plexiglass plates attached to a central chromed base; the plates radiate 180 degrees from the base. The lamp holder is mounted on the base and two black circular knobs on either side secure the slabs to the base. The smaller acrylic plate has an indentation to allow it to rest on the electrical cable.
