Item description
Coffee table from the Tucroma series designed by Guido Faleschini for Mariani and distributed by Hermès France, 1970s. It features four triangular-shaped chrome-plated steel feet with a black felt-covered steel edging; the nearly 2 cm thick smoked glass contributes to its timeless elegance. The coffee table is in good conservative condition; it shows some signs of time on the chrome part, on the other hand the glass is intact (all minor defects are visible in the photos). The series, which includes tables, chairs and furniture, was designed in the 1970s by designer Guido Faleschini, who graduated as an industrial expert in 1942 in Milan and later graduated in architecture from the University of Lausanne. He began his production as a designer in the 1960s, collaborating with companies in Brianza and eventually working with the important Swiss manufacturing company Mariani.
