Item description
Tessuto chandelier in Murano glass and metal by Ludovico Diaz Des Santillana for Venini, Italy, 1970s. Ludovico Diaz Des Santillana (1931-1989) He graduated in architecture in Venice, devoting himself to university teaching. He married Anna Venini, daughter of Paolo, and took over the management of Venini & C. from the death of the owner until 1985 when, with the same duties, he moved to EOS for which he designed important collections. Ludovico de Santillana gave great expansion to glass in architecture and opened the Venini furnaces and the secrets of Murano to young Americans, with a delicate balance between art craftsmanship, design and industry. The chandelier is in working order and in very good condition, as can be seen from the attached photos. No cracks or splinters in the glass. There are slight bloomings on the metal chrome-plating. Assess through the attached photos.
