Item description
Red Superonda sofa designed by Archizoom Associati for Poltronova. The first sofa without a shell designed in 1967. Made up of two waves, obtained from a block of polyurethane sawn into two parts with an S-shaped cut. The two S fit together and overlap in different configurations, not a sofa but several sofas in one. It can be a sofa, bed and chaise longue. Covered in the original glossy sky here in the red version. At the time it was also thought of in black and white, all the other color variants are later editions. This very important work of Pop art is ideal for giving a touch of sophistication and creativity to your environments. The sofa is in excellent conservative condition, it has no structural defects and very light, almost invisible signs of aging, it is practically like new as can be seen in the photos. Archizoom was a collective of architects founded in 1966 in Florence belonging to the radical architecture movement, the group disbanded in 1974. Poltronova was founded in 1957 with headquarters in Florence, operating in the furniture and design sector. Thanks to collaborations with the big names in design, it has given life to iconic pieces that are still loved and present in the most prestigious museums.
