Oil painting on canvas depicting a hilly landscape with a mill on the river bank, second half of the 19th century. In the background, a Roman aqueduct crossing it. The sky, sometimes cloudy, touches the ruins of a small fortress that has now collapsed. On the other bank a shepherd watches his flock from afar. Not signed. First canvas. Restored. Coeval frame. The painting alone without the frame measures 70 x 127 cm.
