Item description

Umbrian Louis XVI chestnut bread cupboard, late 18th century. Sideboard cabinet with opening upper compartment and large drawer at the bottom. Used anciently for baking bread, today a great piece of furniture, very rare and sought after. Made entirely of solid chestnut wood. Totally restored with wax finish. It retains all nails and hinges coeval. On the front it has the original owner's initials fire-branded on it. It does not require any intervention.
