Item description

Oil painting on canvas by Claudius Seignol (1858-1926) from 1892 depicting a rural landscape in which a farmer leads two cows wearing a yoke secured to their horns. The background is a French autumn landscape from the late 19th century. Signed Seignol and given "92" lower left. The painting is in good condition with small cracks at the bottom as shown in the photos. The coeval plaster frame is gilded with gold leaf and requires very small touch-ups. Size without frame: 90 x 150 cm. Upon request it is possible to have a restoration estimate.
