Swiss walnut dresser with inlays, first half of the 18th century
SILVER Seller in Padova, Italia
Walnut-plated three-drawer dresser with inlays, made in Switzerland in the first half of the 18th century. The front part has a double camber and two arched columns to decorate the corners. The upper surface and the front of the drawers are inlaid with hunting scenes, animals and flower vases, while on the sides we find a rhombus inserted in a frame with rounded corners. Everything was done by mixing lighter woods and others that were darker or with marked grains. Four turned feet support the dresser. Not restored but in good condition.
