Corner cabinet in red lacquered fir, first half of the 18th century
SILVER Seller in Padova, Italia
Red lacquered corner furniture made in Venice in the first half of the 18th century. The small corner is decorated with relief designs inspired by typical Chinese landscapes as then in vogue in the many imitations of oriental lacquers. The shoulders and the door are wavy and the feet turned. To open the door there was probably a wooden knob later replaced by a key lock. In good state of preservation, needs small touches. The sides, at the point of contact with the wall, measure 47 cm.
