Pair of paintings depicting two gentlemen executed in 1870 by the life prison painter Tavilla. He was a life prisoner locked up in the fortress of San Leo. Being a painter, he received bonuses when he helped fresco buildings or create paintings for the community. In San Leo there are still several traces of the artist.
