Minimalist yet elegant, this rosewood folding corner daybed/sofa bed in the style of Ejvind A. Johansson was made in Denmark in the 1960s. Beautifully crafted from reddish-orange rosewood, it adds a warm touch to any interior. The side panels, with their gently rounded corners, not only keep the mattresses in a stable position but also highlight the richness of the wood. The quilted black leather upholstery that covers the mattresses and cushions harmonises perfectly with the wooden structure, creating a timeless design. The thoughtful construction of the piece makes it very functional. It can serve as a corner sofa, a daybed for daytime naps, or, thanks to the retractable cushions and foldable design, transform into a full-size bed for sleeping. It will be indispensable when the party extends and your guests want to stay a little longer, as the folding mechanism requires only a few movements. Simply remove the bed frame and place the cushions stored in the hidden compartment on it. Due to its construction and technical solutions, such as the brass pins and the construction of wooden backrests, we believe that it was designed by Ejvind A. Johansson. His designs reflected the Danish ethos of simplicity, craftsmanship and functional elegance, all elements undoubtedly visible in this piece. It is in excellent vintage condition, with stable structure and fully functional locking mechanisms. The wood has been refreshed with professional products. Originally there were two back cushions, but upon special request we can provide an additional one. A mattress is 10 cm high, 129 cm wide and 72 cm deep. The other mattress is 10 cm high, 140 cm wide and 72 cm deep. The two back cushions are 25 cm high, 72 cm wide and 28 cm deep each. The two additional cushions are 10 cm high, 67 cm wide and 62 cm deep each. Sleeping surface: 200 x 140 cm.
