Item description
Chromed metal sculptural floor lamp by Goffredo Reggiani, 1970s. When one thinks of mid-century chrome revolutions, it is hard not to recall Goffredo Reggiani, the obscure but famous Italian entrepreneur and light designer. Particularly fond of futuristic lines, high-quality materials and fine workmanship, his lamps are instantly recognisable and although many of them have come to the present day without a label, it is quite easy to attribute a piece of lighting to the designer's genius. The lamp in question is imposing and high with a heavy base and four chrome tubes that each conceal a bulb. They are cut and decorated to closely resemble racing car exhausts, making this lamp extremely appealing to any classic car enthusiast and the perfect accessory for a modern retreat. It is preserved in incredible condition and is fully functioning with a replaced cable, plug and switch. It has been serviced by a certified electrician.
