Item description
La Pavoni espresso coffee machine mod. Europiccola, 1960s. Complete with original wooden knobs, accessories and instruction booklet. Pavoni S.P.A. is a company that was born in Milan in 1905 when its founder, Desiderio Pavoni, developed a patent purchased in 1902 by Luigi Bezzera in a small workshop in Via Parini. The patent concerns the first bar espresso machine which will be called Ideale. La Pavoni S.p.A. has collaborated over the years with the major representatives of industrial design in Italy. It was precisely the collaboration with Gio Ponti, Alberto Rosselli and Antonio Fornaroli that favored the creation, in 1948, of the first horizontal boiler espresso machine, La Cornuta. The Europiccola Professional model, produced in 1961, has been exhibited since 1974 in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The boiler turns on and brings the water to the boil. Naturally, since it is a vintage object, it needs maintenance. The exterior conditions are very good. It shows normal traces of age and use visible in the photos.
