Iconic sofa "with wings" model D70 by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno, designed in 1954. Born as a sofa bed, the D70 has a mechanism that allows you to open the sofa until it turns completely upside down.
The 'D70' has two swiveling wings, a metal frame while the opening mechanism consists of a lever with a fastening pin that engages with holes in a graduated plate; operated effortlessly by a knob, it allows the backrest and seat to assume any angle and fold down to form a bed. First presented at the 10th Triennale in 1954, it marks the direction taken by the newly founded Tecno in 1953. In excellent condition, remade in the padding and original Tecno fabric.
