Black Hombre dining table by Burkhard Vogtherr for Rosenthal, 1970s. The solid wood top rests on the squared wooden arch elements typical of Hombre and the recessed configuration of the structure allows excellent seating for the entire table. It can also be used as a desk as it differs only marginally from the Hombre desk version. It shows minimal signs of wear on the top and structure. Rosenthal, known as one of the most important porcelain manufacturers in the world, decided in the 1970s to have some furniture designed by well-known designers and market it under the Rosenthal brand. This is how some design icons of the 1970s were born, including the Hombre collection designed by Burkhard Vogtherr.
