French Charles X work side table in exotic fine wood with maple inlay inserts, early 19th century. The top flips up and conceals a series of compartments inside as well as a mirror for use as a dressing table. The under-top band conceals two drawers highlighted by the presence of dense raceme inlay. The feet are scissor-like and are joined by a central crosspiece, ending with gilded bronze feral paws.
